Welcome to HCLA!
We provide an educational environment to impact the whole child, preparing them each step of the way for the their next level of education and for eternity. We challenge the academic development of all children in a setting that nurtures the gifts each child possesses. Our spiritual climate encourages an active faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Over 495 students in Preschool – 12th grade are daily challenged by caring teachers to stretch both their minds and hearts.
At HCLA, we believe a partnership with every family is critical to maximize success. Together with the Central Florida Cross Network and the student’s family we provide a foundation of faith, and desire for each child to develop their God-given abilities. This team of parents, students and teachers can make a strand of three that is not easily broken. We believe the promise found in Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is older he will not leave it.”
Please contact us if you have any questions. If you would like to request information on our school program, simply send me an email and I will contact you to further explore how your child can become a part of the Holy Cross Lutheran Academy family. We are a Christian school for all faiths.

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy began as a Preschool Story Time program of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in 1984. Since then we have developed a full range of early childhood programs with classes for one year olds through VPK, an excellent elementary program (K-4), an outstanding middle school program (5-8), and in Fall of 2015 we opened our High School.
Holy Cross Lutheran Academy is part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, in which Lutheran schools in the United States can be traced back to the 1600’s. Today with over 3400 schools and early childhood centers, the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod operates the second largest parochial school system in the nation. Because of their nature, Lutheran schools are not in competition with public schools, but rather offer parents an alternative where there is an emphasis on educating the whole child.
PALS stands for Parents Actively Lending Support. This dynamic group of HCLA supporters help to strengthen the partnership between home and school, keeping the Christian education of our children first and foremost. PALS consists of parents willing to lend support and assistance in any effort that will benefit the students of the Academy. PALS help with classroom special events, maintenance of school property and facilities, organize special school-wide functions and oversee school wide fundraisers.
PALS meet monthly and all parents are welcome to attend and participate.
