The Colonial Garden is a vision for the Holy Cross Upper School Campus and will be located in the green space between Fine Arts and Building 400.

The Colonial Garden, like those found in Williamsburg, Boston, Savannah, and Charleston will be a unique feature to HCLA.  The characteristics of a Colonial Garden are the following:

  • Wooden garden boxes symmetrically arranged.
  • A centerpiece fountain or statue as a focal point.
  • Crushed shell paths to walk through the garden.
  • Seating within the garden.
  • A mix of vegetables, fruits, flowers, herbs and ornamental shrubs.
