Christmas Programs, one-act shows, classroom presentations and school musicals broaden our students imagination and communication skills while boosting self-confidence.  Drama also promotes teamwork and enhances brain function.  Public speaking and performance are skills that can serve our students long after they have left HCLA.

Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together.  Music starts in the preschool classrooms and continues into Elementary.  In addition to their regular music class, students can join chorus and perform in the community.  Middle School and High School brings additional opportunities for band, praise band, drumline and chorus as well.

All of our preschool and elementary students have art as part of their well-rounded curriculum.  It is important to us that our students are exposed to the arts as numberous studies suggest the direct correlation to improved motor skills, decision making, and language development.  Middle School and High School students are given opportunities to take art electives that satisfy their creativity and credit requirements.  2D, 3D, digital art, and Pre-Ap and AP art classes are offered.
